Omelet was great . Service was great. Prices were reasonable. All tables, no booths. Sorry John d.,coffee has gone up since your review back in 2012. I feel bad being the first not to give it a 5 star rating, but I have a set of standards that I have to apply fairly, to all places, even local ones. It is the best priced, nicest place around, nearest to it in quality and value is Jennie Raes, right up the road.I have only been to the diner this one time, and I like it . I will be going there more now that I KNOW IT IS GOOD.

This place is the real thing. Super fresh food prepared with pride. Don't be in a hurry it'll take a while. Excellent value and large portions. A genuine home town diner - the only frills come on your plate. If you're in the area, don't miss out!

This is one great small town eatery. Great home style cooking, friendly owners and waitstaff. Reasonable prices with plenty on your plate. Their Weds, night specials are to die for.

The Diner in New Carlisle is one of the few places left where you can still get a cup of coffee for just 93 cents! One of the unique things about this quaint little diner is that they don't have any matching coffee mugs. The shelves on the wall are lined with unique mugs collected over the years. Mine was a mug from the Plymouth Blue Berry Festival. The waitresses are friendly and the food comes out fast. I had the Egg Mess covered in sausage gravy and served with rye toast. It was very good. If you are looking for a small hometown diner that is a throwback to the old original truck stop atmosphere, then this is the place to go. John David WhatsJohnEating.com

Excellent! Homemade soups and sandwiches. Cheap but good coffee. Homemade pie and ice cream. I am generally not easily impressed, but this is simply a great local diner.

My husband and I found this place by accident. We thought we would give it a try. The food was very good and homemade. The prices were great and the waitress was very nice. We will definitely return.
